Dimension Arc Add

Locate three or more points to add an arc dimension.

1. Click the Dimension Add Arc icon, which is pictured above. The icon can be fond on the Drafting page > Annotations section.

Alternative: Invoke Dimension Add Arc using the Find Tool by searching the command name and clicking the icon, which is pictured above.

2. Locate- Remove -Return mouse bindings become active along with various Locate options. Select the Locate icon you want, then left-click ( Locate ) 2 points where you want the feet of the dimensions (the order you select the points determines the direction the distance is measured).

Alternative: Right-click ( Return ) to end this operation at any time.

3. A construction circle appears, left-click ( Locate ) the third point that is counterclockwise to the second point. This point will not be dimensioned to, but is used to calculate the on radius dimension.

Note: If a circle, arc, circular member line, or construction circle was selected before the tool was ran, that radius is used, and this step is skipped.

4. Locate- Remove -Return mouse bindings become active again. Select additional dimension points to add to the chain. Right-click ( Return ) when you are done locating the points.

5. Left click to locate the dimension lines. The temporary construction circle disappears, and the chain of arc dimensions is now added.
